Our resident chef Whitney Firmin will guide you through the principles behind fermentation and show you a range of simple to make ferments that can easily become a vital part of your family traditions and cuisine.
This day will include vegetable ferments pickles,and sauces
Fermenting raw milk , including kefir and several cheeses
Fermentation of grains incl sourdough Fermented beverages.
You will get to do lots of tasting and making ferments to take home
About Whitney Firmin: Whitney spent several years working at some of the top restaurants in Victoria, Australia and has brought her passion for cooking and gardening to Koanga Institute.

Please note: The Workshop will be confirmed two weeks before it begins. If circumstances prevent the Workshop from going ahead, enrolment fees will be refunded in full.

Cancellation Policy: Students who cancel their place at a workshop with more than two weeks notice will be given an 85% refund, however cancellations after this time can only be refunded 50% of the course fee. Cancellations with less than 48 hours, no refund can be given.
