As part of our kaupapa to encourage and support sustainable living in NZ, we organise Events, Workshops and Permaculture Design Courses.  These are at the leading edge in the art and science of sustainable living, and are part of the emergence of a 'post-industrial' culture which creates abundance and works with 'nature'.

The Koanga Institute is actively pursuing and accumulating the knowledge and skills required to live sustainably, and we are committed to sharing with others that which we find valuable through our workshop and apprenticeship programme.

The sharing of knowledge within our communities is an important step towards a more sustainable way of living. The Koanga Institute offers sponsored places at our workshops for young people and community leaders who will take the skills and knowledge and share it with others. If you would like to nominate someone for a sponsored place at one of our workshops, please contact us with details of your  nominee, and their role within the community. We also offer you the possibility of donating money towards sponsoring places at workshops, please contact us for further details.

All workshops will be held at the Koanga Institute - which is just out of Wairoa, in the Hawkes Bay.
