Wheat KoniniEarly CommercialKonini is a modern purple wheat, bred from a very ancient line. It only grows to around 80cm high so it's easy to net, and it is a heavy cropper of beautiful seed that requires threshing. Konini threshes out of it's loose hulls quite easily. Konini makes delicius sprouted wheat cakes, as well as a great rice substitute when eaten whole after long soaking and slow cooking. |
