Lupins: Blue

Organically grown old fashioned blue flowered lupins for nitrogen fixing and carbon production  are the best for us because the seed is not edible to the animals and birdlife, so can be thrown around on top of beds and left to germinate with no fear of being eaten , unlike some of the more modern white seeded selections currently widely available.. best sown in Autumn but can be sown any time.. lupins fix nitrogen best when the soil is still warm
