Sulla is a perennial herb native to the Mediterranean basin, cultivated for animal fodder, hay and honey production. It is deep-rooted, drought-resistant plant, growing to 1–1.5 metres. Flowers are purple red. Pods have a yellow thorny surface that turns brown at maturity.

Description: Sulla is a perennial herb native to the Mediterranean basin, cultivated for animal fodder, hay and honey production. It is deep-rooted, drought-resistant plant, growing to 1–1.5 meters. Flowers are purple red. Pods have a yellow thorny surface that turns brown at maturity.

Planting Instructions: Early autumn or early spring. Seeds not dormant so do not require scarification – scatter seeds in trays or on bare soil. Transplant when 10cm tall.
