Akaroa Potato - SPONSORSHIP FOR 2011
This potato comes from Henry Harrington’s early life around Akaroa, as a descendant of the de Malmanche French settlers. It is a large rock like potato with few but deep eyes and a light purple/ pink blush under the skin. It is a fluffy potato so it is best boiled, or mashed, and has a good flavour.
By sponsoring this potato for a year, you will be helping us to strengthen the genetics of this cultivar, to develop disease resistance and maintain the line, and to make it available to our members and the public in the future ...and for future generations. Thank you!
Your name will be published alongside this potato on our Potato Project thank you list.
